Why can't I start a new topic or post to an existing thread?
One of two reasons:

1. You may not have yet registered an account with us. Register.
2. If you are already a Registered Member, then you may not be logged in. Log In.

Are there rules and guidelines for posting?
Yes indeed! You can read them in our Community Guidelines

How do I add a custom avatar, signature, title, or personal profile information?
Only registered members can customize their user account. If you are a registered member and do not know how to customize your profile, please read through our Help section.

How do I change my user name?
Only the site administrator can change your user name. Contact one of our administrators for assistance.

Why am I the only person with a warning bar showing?
Users can only see their own warning bar. If it shows 0%, there are no warnings.

Why can't I use search, view new posts, or view the members list?
These features all involve the search function which is only available to Registered Members. If you are already a Registered Member, then you may not be logged in. Log In.

Why can't I view other members' personal profiles?
This is available only to Registered Members. If you are already a Registered Member, then you may not be logged in. Log In.

I am already logged into ClausNet, but I still do not have access to all of the site. How do I gain access to the other discussions and features on ClausNet?
If you are already a Registered Member and are logged in but have not yet posted an introduction, you have limited access to some of the features and discussions here on ClausNet. To become a full member, you must first introduce yourself to our community by posting in our Introductions section.

Are Personal Messages (PM) and E-Mails private?
This forum software allows for no method of reading members' Personal Messages. In the interest of full disclosure, the messages are in database table and as with any software system it is possible for a database administrator to use separate tools to browse the table and try to make sense of it. However please note that we are not interested in the contents of Personal Messages.

We do have logs of the emails that are sent. As a rule, we do not read them. However, we will if we need to investigate abuse. The reason emails are not private is that they leave the system and enter the world of the internet.

How can I own my own Blog?
Blogs are available to all users that are interested. PM one of our administrators for assistance.

How can I get answers to other questions?
Read our Help Files for a lot more information on general usage of the forum. If you cannot find answers to your questions there, visit our Technical Support forum and post a question there. Our moderators or one of our members will usually answer your question very quickly.
