1960 Hollywood Christmas Parade posted in Santa Claus History and Christmas Traditions
The Hollywood Christmas Parade of Stars 1960, formerly the Hollywood Santa Parade, is an annual parade that takes place on the weekend after Thanksgiving in the Hollywood community. The parade's 3.5-mile route follows Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard and has many celebrities among its participants, include Gene Autry, The Cisco Kid Duncan Renaldo, Ray Corrigan with the Corriganville truck and trailer, Clint Eastwood and the Rawhide cast and many more celebrities.

What strikes me most is how truly sincere, respectful and well mannered everyone was in those days. My parents and grandparents and aunts and uncles were just like that, and never really strayed from the mark in any significant way; even as the times changed, they remained the same. Such a stark contrast to the way people behave today...
